Whale and dolphin watching in Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura is worthwhile all year round. This is because some species are resident in the area, which means they stay permanently there. In general, it is much more likely to see dolphins than the naturally shyer whales. Experiencing the impressive marine mammals in their natural habitat is an absolutely breath-taking experience. Also, this tour is kept on a very small scale, with a maximum of only 10 passengers on board. In addition, the duration of the tour is totally sufficient, because the sighting area is not particularly far from the coast. Boat and crew were very good but unfortunately we didn’t get to see any whales or dolphins (which they obviously can’t guarantee) but overall had a nice 2 hours on the sea.
